Appreciation demands this post today, as once again I’m taken back to the morning I was dying and didn’t know it. It was September 14, 2022. I did all the things I usually did on those mornings. I checked email. I returned a phone call to a coworker. And all the other usual things. I had no symptoms of any illness of any kind. I had been exhausted for over a week, which was unusual. And I had plans to check in with my doc. But no other symptoms.
I collapsed in my bathroom…and the next thing I heard with clarity was a doctor in the ER telling me that when he saw people with lungs like mine, they were usually already dead. Grace grant. I stole that phrase from Dr. Marcus Cosby’s April 6 sermon. Grace grant. It wasn’t even an answer to a prayer because I didn’t know I needed grace. Needed help. Needed health care. I had no idea. He grasped me from death when I didn’t even know I was dying.
I hope this helps someone today because I feel compelled to tell it again. And maybe I’m still taking it all in after almost three years. God has you when you aren’t even aware of it. God is loving, healing, holding, spreading grace and mercy; even preparing the hearts and hands of the people who are to become your healers and helpers.
Two entire weeks in hospital. Unscheduled surgery. Blood sticks every four hours. 54th wedding anniversary with specially prepared meals. Worried family and friends. Enormous outpouring of God’s grace all along the way.

Good Day Rev. Boulware,
All I can say after reading your post WOW! WOW! and WOW! Grace extension that’s the kind of God we serve. As I was reading your post and pause your family sought the Lord and He heard them and then He answered. This testimony needs to be heard over and over it has surly blessed me this morning. The Bible tells us we are overcome by our testimonies Revelation 12:11 so that we can help somebody along the way. Thank you for always staying on the wall. God gave you a triple extension because you have greater works to be done. Much LOVE!!!!!!
