Prayer is an ongoing transaction between us and the Lord. It needs no special form or formality. It makes me sad to hear people say they want to pray but don’t know what to say. I think that confession, right there, is the perfect prayer opener. Of course, no special words are needed to talk to the Lord. Regular conversation is just fine. Singing. Dancing. And most importantly, just listening. Always listen for the leading of the Holy Spirit. This book is a handy tool, something tangible to gather when it’s your desire to pray. Pray your own. Read those of others. Enjoy prayers from the Bible. You might even find a rapper’s prayer. Just remember this: God is absolutely amazing and his greatest joy is to see your face, receive your presence and hear your heart. I’ll be looking for you in the Prayer Room.
